01：Africa in the World: Rethinking Africa’s Global Connections（全球視野下的非洲：非洲全球化網絡的再思考）
Objectives：Africa is a vibrant continent that has become increasingly important in global economic and political dynamics, not in the least because of its natural richness, its quickly growing and young population, and the increasingly vocal position taken by African leaders. In this course we will discuss Africa’s shifting position in the world by looking at Africa’s changing global the instructor. Please insert the original size clear photo here. 112 connections from a number of thematic angles, such as migration, security, economic connections, geopolitics, diplomacy. Specific attention will be paid to historical roots of current relationships, the diversity of Africa’s global partners, and how the intensity and character of global connections may vary between African regions and localities, and between categories of the African population. The aim is to provide the participants in the course with knowledge and insights that will enable them to critically assess current debates and developments concerning Africa in the world, including development challenges, the promises and pitfalls of partnerships, and the role of Africa(ns) in co-shaping the world order of the future.
02：Rethinking of Core Concepts in Contemporary Anthropology（當代人類學核心概念專題）
Objectives👩🚀💧： 1. to make clear the genealogical tree of contemporary theories and thoughts of anthropology, how such core concepts reformed and what are the context of these multi-schools arising, is there any continuity embedding in the development of classical theories confronting disappearing of the old condition and emerging of globalization. 2. To compare major contemporary achievements of Chinese anthropologists with American peers. This will include comparing the quality of ethnography, creation of fieldwork methods and critical issues of social change etc. This work of comparison is to discover possibility of being independent of production based on the common generation and special characters of different experiences.
