講座簡介：
This paper deals with the urbanization process in terms of population concentration and redistribution in Korea and its characteristics in a conjunction with the industrialization and economic growth. This paper specifically illustrates population and socioeconomic concentration in the capital city of Korea. Finally, this paper indicates the contribution of the socioeconomic concentration in the capital region for the Korean economy and suggests some implications in relation to the sustainable development. The experience of the population concentration in Seoul and its redistribution policy may be somewhat comparable to the case in China, which has recently announced a construction of Xiongan New District(雄安新區）nearby Beijing, the capital city of China. .
