主講人：Dr. Sajeda Amin
Dr. Saieda Amin is a Senior Research Advisor at Sajida Foundation in Bangladesh. Previously she was associated with Population Council for 30 years, where she was Senior Associate and an affiliate of the GIRL Center till May 2024. She began her career at Princeton University as Research Associate and has worked at the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies in Dhaka as a Research Fellow. As a social demographer by training, Dr. Amin has a strong interest in policy research and intervention methodology. She has led research on empowerment programs for adolescent girls in Bangladesh as well as academic research studies in Bangladesh, India, Egypt Malawi, Mali and Niger and Vietnam. She has a keen interest in development programs in crisis settings and has studied Bangladesh's development trajectory in historical and comparative perspective. She has served on advisory boards at the Social Science Research Council, BRAC(USA) and on the Council of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population. She consults regularly with development agencies and with UNFPA, UNICEF, WHO and the World Bank. Her research training is in demography/sociology (PhD, 1988, Princeton University)as well as public policy (Masters in Public Affairs,1984, Princeton School of Public and International Affairs).
